On Friday 10th March, B-DACS Director Diane Drummond presented to over 100 secondary female pupils and their teachers from 15 schools across Glasgow at the Women-into-Engineering event held at the City of Glasgow College.
Diane joined other leading figures from industry, academia and business to inspire more women to pursue studies and careers in engineering. Her presentation focused on how she found herself in the engineering industry, how she got to where she is now and a day in the life of her role here at B-DACS. The event concluded with an interesting Q&A session where pupils had the chance to ask Diane and the other speakers specific questions.
We hope that Diane’s inspiring words will help lead to more women joining engineer related courses at the college and then hopefully into the industry itself.
