B-DACS Ltd was awarded ‘Glasgow’s Best Performing Business 11-50 Employees at the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2015.
We were honoured to be short listed for two categories this year;
- Family Business of the Year
- Best Performing Business 11-50 Employees
and were extremely proud to have been awarded Glasgow’s Best Performing Business 11-50 Employees.
The ceremony was held in Glasgow Hilton Hotel and the event celebrated its 18th year in acknowledging forward-looking and innovative organisations within Glasgow Chamber Membership and in the Glasgow area. Our Director Diane Drummond accepted the award from the host of the evening comedian, Fred McAuley.
Over the past year we have retained our focus on our social media strategy and website content this has proved very successful in generating a number of enquires for both Installation, Maintenance and Repairs. We achieved ISO:9001 in January 2015 and retained our Business Solutions Partner with Mitsubishi Electric as well as Daikin D1 Partnership. Last year we were successful in our accreditation with Safe Contractor and Construction Line, putting the rubber stamp on the health and safety side of our business proving we are a reputable company.
Going forward we want to be an employer of choice. We have recently signed up to The Scottish Business Pledge and are proud to be a Glasgow Living Wage Employer. This has helped us recruit and retain our staff.
Last year we were one of the first businesses in Scotland to be recognised and achieve Investors in Young People Accreditation out with their pilot group. We continue to work alongside DWP offering work experience as part of our recruitment strategy and are delighted to have secured permanent roles for 3 Engineers Assistants through this route.
We believe strongly that our workforce contribute to growing our business, this is why we invest heavily in training and development allowing employees to put plans in place for career progression.
