B-DACS are delighted to announce that we have now signed up to The Scottish Business Pledge. This is a voluntary commitment made by companies in Scotland to uphold some of the best in modern business practices and to embrace the principle of fairness, equality, opportunity and innovation.

The Scottish Business Pledge was launched in May 2015 as part of the Government’s new Economic Strategy which is a partnership between the Scottish Government and business to commit to fair and progressive policies that boost productivity, recognise fairness and increase diversity. B-DACS were first alerted to The Scottish Business Pledge through media and communications from The Scottish Government and when we looked into this further we were pleased to find that we were already fulfilling many components set out in the pledge including, paying the living wage, not using exploitative zero hours contracts and investing in youth.

By making The Scottish Business Pledge companies meet the core commitment of paying the Living Wage, fulfil any two other Pledge elements now and commit to all 9 elements in the longer term.

Minimum criteria for the Scottish Business Pledge

We join other companies such as Virgin Money, Hearts of Midlothian Football Club and Kube Networks to name a few.

“Being part of The Scottish Business Pledge means that we are supporting our own personal pledge in fairness and equality for our workforce as well as being part of the bigger picture in the Governments strategy for our Country, we are really pleased to have signed up to the pledge and are committed to ensuring that B-DACS continue to grow in the components that we are already achieving as well as working to achieve as many other components as possible.”
